Saturday August 24th was a very special day for the Cast of The Nutcracker. This was not only a full day of rehearsals from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, but it was also the day where Clara, The Mouse King, The Lead Toy Soldier and All the Queens had out special little thoughts & gifts to all their ensemble of dancers. An ensemble is a group of dancers who perform together at the same time along with the soloist (ie: The Queen, The Lead Toy Soldier, etc)
This special tradition we do is for our soloist to say “thank you” to their ensemble of talented dancers. The soloist put a lot of time and thought into these special gifts. Some of the gifts that were handed out were: The China Queen made handmade fortune cookie ornaments with a little fortune inside. Clara handed out a package of little treats with the Nutcracker suite music score, The Mouse King handed out Hershey Kisses with a handmade ornament, the Angel Queen handed out an Angel Ornament….so many special little thoughts & gifts were made with love…
Our Nutcracker Cast is making memories to last a lifetime….
